CJ Wilson writes about adventure, wilderness, public lands, the natural world. She specializes in travel writing from Spanish-speaking corners of the world.

On her resume you’ll find park ranger, Outward Bound instructor, facilitator, cross-country ski instructor, research assistant, freelance writer, transportation coordinator,  organic gardener, experiential educator. She’s grateful to find herself on Earth in an era when she can live many lives in the span of one.

CJ has travelled, climbed, paddled, bicycled, and backpacked through much of the Americas, North and South, with dabblings in Europe and the Himalaya. Her favorite travel destinations are Patagonia (Chile and Argentina), Asturias (Spain), Sequoia National Park (California), and the west coast of Scotland. She prefers human-powered travel whenever possible, by boat, on foot, or bicycle.

She writes most regularly from her base camp in Asheville, North Carolina.
